伯纳德·屈米（BERNARD TSCHUMI）：“竹语”作品

　　我们将“无止境室内设计”项目视为开发竹子潜在价值的机会——以意想不到的创新方式运用竹子。竹子是一种传统的亚洲建筑材料，它不仅价格便宜，而且对环境的适应性强。因此，这套公寓得以成为测试这种材料的实验室。 

　　这套公寓里，几乎所有的东西都是以竹子为材料的，包括大部分地板、天花板、窗户上的装饰、家具、大部分厨房和浴室用具。我们还设计了两个用竹子做的新装置来分隔空间：一个是能从中心节点张开形成墙壁、走廊的折壁，另一个是能由一个圆柱体打开形成弯曲的屏风的隔墙。有了这些装置，公寓的居住者就可以根据不断变化的需要灵活地设计自己的空间。( 艺术中国网 http://www.artcn.cn/ )

Infinite Bamboo

　　We approached the Infinite Interior project as an opportunity to explore the possibility of using bamboo-a traditional Asian building material that is both inexpensive and environmentally sustainable-in unexpected and innovative ways. The apartment unit is therefore treated as a laboratory for testing this material. Literally everything in the unit is made of bamboo, including most floors, ceilings, window coverings, furnishings, and most kitchen and bathroom appliances.

　　We have also designed two new space-dividing systems, both made of bamboo: one is a folding partition that expands from a central node to create walls and corridors; the other is a curving partition that unrolls from a cylindrical column to create sinuous screens. These systems provide the apartment's residents with the flexibility to design their space according to changing needs.
